Allen Douglass

Allen Douglass, a native of Cass County, Indiana, brings over three decades of experience in the grain and commodity industry. He graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.

Allen began his career at Continental Grain, working at the company’s export terminal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, he originated grain into the Chicago processing market as well as facilities along the upper Illinois River and mid-Mississippi regions. He later held a brief role with a country elevator in southeast Indiana before joining Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

At ADM, Allen worked in the soy processing division, with roles at facilities in Fredonia, Kansas, and Galesburg, Illinois. After five years at ADM, he joined CountryMark Co-op in Indianapolis. Starting in member-based origination, he quickly advanced to trading grain in the Southeast U.S. less-than-train market. He ultimately managed CountryMark’s 250-million-bushel soybean position, which involved facility oversight, member sales, truck logistics, and rail and barge merchandising.

When ADM acquired CountryMark’s assets, Allen transitioned into commercial risk management with the company’s trading house. In 2001, he was recruited by FCStone (now StoneX) to establish and lead their Indianapolis office. There, he built the office from the ground up, serving a broad client base including large producers, grain elevators, end users, ethanol producers, and food companies.

On April 1, Allen was named President of Orchard Point Commodities.

He currently serves on the board of directors for the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) and has completed two terms on the board of the Southeastern Grain and Feed Association. An active supporter of 4-H, Allen now lives on the family farm outside of Logansport, Indiana, with his wife Tonya. They have four children and six grandchildren.
